First of all, Happy New Year!

We've alluded to some big changes coming in 2025, and I guess that now is as good of a day as any to share them with all of you. We've spent three years in Latin America, and it's time to say goodbye for a little while. WE'RE HEADING TO ASIA!

That's right, in just a couple of weeks we'll be heading to our first destination: Weligama, Sri Lanka. It's a small little surf town on the south east corner of the island that sits in the Indian Ocean, you can surf and swim with turtles, and the food is spicy - that's all I know, but I can't wait to discover more!

I wish I could tell you how long we'll be in Asia and when we'll be coming back to Colombia but, true to form, we have no idea! What we do know for a fact is that we'll spend 1 month exploring Sri Lanka! After that, we DO have some other things planned, but I'd rather keep you all in suspense. It's much more fun!

Why Sri Lanka, you ask? Really, I don't know, other than it's been a big point of interest for me for the past year. I know very little about it, but it sounds exotic, right? That was enough for me. I know what you're thinking: every time we go to a country without doing research first, something terrible happens. While you might be right for the majority of the time, remember that we came to Colombia with ZERO knowledge of what we were getting ourselves into, and we fell in love with it. I'm hoping Sri Lanka is more like that than Peru or Ecuador...

I'm so incredibly excited to be going so far, all the way to the other side of the world. The flight is going to be absolutely brutal - we'll tell you more about that next week - but it's going to be absolutely worth it.
